Look at that nose. For realz.
In other news, I read the most fascinating book for my research class. It was basically 400 pages and I finished it in two days because I couldn't put it down. It was all about the woman behind the HeLa cell line that has been responsible for tons of cures to diseases and treatments for cancer.
I learned all about tissue donation and cancer, but mostly I learned about this incredible woman and her family (especially her youngest daughter) and their fight to know the woman whose cells had helped save millions of lives. The human interest piece of research and science is always my favorite. Humans are what I do and I love books that take me to a different world and a different life. This painted a beautiful picture of the Lacks family and I loved being a part of their world as I read this inspirational story.
As for my life, it is good. I've been working and my little brother recently graduated from high school, something we never thought would happen. Tomorrow, I'm moving my stuff into my apartment for the year. I honestly want school to start up again, if only to get that much closer to be done with it. Plus, I'm really excited for my internship at Alder. Also, I finally found out what has been medically/physically wrong with me for so long and we are working on treating that.
Overall, things are good. I have stayed positive despite girls being less than stellar (you really couldn't do that one thing for me, you couldn't SAY it and just let me go though it was obviously what you wanted?). I have just realized what matters and what doesn't. My family, my future, being right here, right now. Life doesn't have to be as hard as I have been known to make it. I just keep breathing, keep living, and I guess that is all anyone can ask for.

P.S. I am in complete gay mode today. Let's look at Bo and Lauren for a bit, 'kay?
